Client Profile: A Test and Measurement Equipment vendor from USA

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible developing and implementing a regional growth plan for the Mobility Infrastructure Business Unit. Working as a team with the regional sales teams and the business unit to drive sales of Spirent’s Mobility Infrastructure solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Development of long term strategy and growth plan for the Mobile and Wi-Fi Core test market in Greater China
  • Accountable for overall Greater China Mobility Infrastructure BU results, including annual and quarterly bookings targets
  • Accurate forecasting using the company's pipeline management system and regular forecast commitments
  • Work with Inside Sales and Systems Engineering team in qualifying, creating and executing strategies for current and new customers
  • Team with and leverage Spirent’s territory sales teams to drive focus needed to drive/expand Spirent leading position in the Mobile and Wi-Fi Core test market
  • Provide a steady stream of qualified leads for territory managers to follow-up
  • Identify key individuals within target accounts, build business and technical champions, and close business
  • Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with assigned clients and understand each client’s technical and business needs
  • Responsible for revenue generation/quota attainment, strategic account & territory management and sales opportunity management
  • Drive Spirent sales activity within the region and have the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations, lead customer discussions and effectively communicate the benefits of Spirent’s Landslide solution
  • Responsible for driving and communicating customer requirements and conveying accounts strategic direction to the BU
  • Develop and implement sales strategies needed to successfully exceed revenue goals
Job Requirements:  
  • Total experience of >12 Years in Sales/Marketing position
  • Proven track record in the last 5 years+ of sales and/or business development experience and consistently exceeding quota
  • High level knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G mobile core network elements (SGW, PGW, MME, etc.) and the role they play in a wireless network
  • High level knowledge of carrier, public and enterprise Wi-fi
  • Solid understanding of wireless trends, key players, and service provider ecosystems.
  • Working relationships with Service Providers (E.G. CCMC, etc) and NEMs (ALU, Cisco, Ericsson, etc.) supplying 3G/4G mobile and Wi-Fi network elements.
  • Self-motivated and willing to accept challenges.
  • Strong interest in problem solving and diving innovative solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess leadership capabilities to work in team environment
  • Ability to travel (50+%)
