Responsibilities

  • Act as the focal contact person of selected key NPI for The Client and ODM to deal with all NPI related issues from pre-production to mass production stage. 
  • Plan, track, coordinate and escalate the day-to-day tasks/issues for selected key new products to ensure the schedule meets the planned XF (exist factory) date.
  • Work and coordinate with Manufacturing engineering, planning, quality, product design, product engineering and ODM to solve all issues before and after the pre-production which relates to internal this Client and ODMs.
  • Initiate the action plan, track and report the status to project/management team on a regular basis. Monitor and report the status until the issue is closed.
  • Work with ODMs and key 2nd tier suppliers to ensure the factory capacity can meet the initial demand with on-time delivery.
  • Highlight any material, quality and process issue to strategic purchasing, QE, tooling engineering and Mfg. engineering to resolve the bottleneck for pre-production and the initial volume ramp up.
  • Provide weekly beta/pilot management update for all NPI projects.
  • Manage special Rework projects for HK distribution center.
 
Position Requirements
  • BA or BS in Industrial Engineering, Engineering or management.
  • Minimum 7 years in Program management and 7 years in manufacturing engineering in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or OEM environment.
  • Familiar with new product introduction process.
  • Familiar with electronics assembly process for PCBA, box build and test.
  • Basic knowledge for plastic injection, sheet metal, antenna, packaging and power adaptor.
  • Excellent communication skill with English and Mandarin, both verbal and written.
  • Good coordination and interpersonal skill.
  • Excellent problem solving and reporting skill.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing business processes: planning, supply chain, logistics
  • Autonomous, able to function with minimum supervision
  • Out-of-the-box thinker,
  • Good facilitator, ability to resolve conflicts within the organization, and with suppliers
  • Be able to travel in Asia countries.
